Mattress Toppers | Mattress Pad | Bed Topper

Two different jobs share this page, and it is worth knowing which one you are buying.

A topper and a protector are not the same thing

A mattress underlay or topper sits on the mattress and changes how it FEELS. Ours is 5 cm of 1000 gsm microfibre in a polyester shell, with a 45 cm fitted skirt, and it is the cheap way to soften a mattress that is too firm.

A waterproof protector sits on the mattress and stops liquid reaching it. Ours is a three-layer build with a thin TPU membrane, and it is quiet, which is the part most protectors get wrong.

Plenty of beds want both, in that order: protector against the mattress, topper above it, sheet over the lot.

Measure the depth, not just the size

Mattress widths are standard and depths are not. A skirt built for a 20 cm mattress will fight a 35 cm pillowtop, so every size on this site gives the depth in centimetres as well as the width and length.
